AND WHY IT’S IMPORTANT FOR US TO USE AN *
Dichotomies, dualisms and binaries, such as mind-body, organic-inorganic, nature-culture/ nature-technology, human-nonhuman, male-female, master-slave, art-craft and else, serve as a basis of essentialist, logocentric and visual-centric disposition that empowers and enhances the subject(s) to define, shape, discipline, control, surveil, exploit and annihilate the object(s).
Hence, to defy the exercise of oppressive power over matter(s), we resist the patriarchal, exclusive definition of woman, to embrace the "female with an asterix" as an inclusive and open index for individual and/or collective self-identification and solidarity of the oppressed.
